Anne's properties for sale

I live in west central France, in an area called the Gâtine, a natural region of France located in Nouvelle Aquitaine, extending from the centre of the department of Deux-Sèvres (literally “two rivers” with their sources here), to La Vendée in the west. The region boasts beautiful countryside, many lakes for relaxing, fishing and bathing, winding lanes for cycling and hiking, culture and history, including medieval Parthenay, great food and wine, and charming, welcoming local inhabitants. Deux-Sèvres is famous for its apples and there are many orchards visible from the roads. The micro-climate is very pleasant with mild winters and hot but not humid summers due to the ocean only just over an hour away.  If you’re looking for peace and tranquillity, this is where you’ll find your French property – and only 3.5 hours from the English Channel. The lovely Atlantic beaches are close by for day trips – my favourite is La Rochelle with its port and abundant seafood. Inland there is the picturesque Marais Poitevin (also called la Venise Verte because of its ancient network of canals), the wonderful Puy du Fou medieval theme park and Futuroscope amusement park near Poitiers which are less than an hour’s drive. Three airports are easily accessible: La Rochelle, Nantes and Poitiers.  Historic Niort is the capital of Deux-Sèvres and connects to the motorway and TGV network to Paris, Bordeaux and beyond.

Whether you are a seller or a buyer, I am pleased to guide you in your search for that ideal  property in France and offer you helpful and knowledgeable support.
